Mark Wingfield is always recommended listening for fans of Jazz or Fusion guitar (among the names usually dropped you'll find Alan Holdsworth, Terje Rypdal, Pat Metheny). Nevertheless, this isn't just pure Jazz. I seem to hear more traces of progressive rock than in his other recordings, but probably that's just an early impression... Carsten Pieper

Now what's the English term for "Wundertüte", because that's what this is! A "lucky bag" or "grab bag" maybe...? Meaning, that if you randomly pick a track from this album, it's absolutely impossible to predict what you get! Styles stretch from crimsoid stuff (with or without vitriolic lyrics) to ambient over 60s hommages to a beautiful almost-pop ballad (except it's in 13/8!). Great musicians's, too! Carsten Pieper
