"I'd like to unshamelssly plug someone I have been following for the last few years, Fervent Send, a collective of musicians from across the globe. They are definitely not your mainstream music and that's a damn good thing! They combine elements of Progressive Rock, Art Rock and Experimental to make some of the most interesting music I've heard in awhile." ~ Michael Grimes, Fairmont, West Virginia, USA
"I’m enjoying the latest release from Fervent Send.
Simultaneously sinister and hauntingly beautiful." ~ Shawn Sutherland, Richardson, Texas, USA
Now what's the English term for "Wundertüte", because that's what this is! A "lucky bag" or "grab bag" maybe...? Meaning, that if you randomly pick a track from this album, it's absolutely impossible to predict what you get! Styles stretch from crimsoid stuff (with or without vitriolic lyrics) to ambient over 60s hommages to a beautiful almost-pop ballad (except it's in 13/8!).
Great musicians's, too! Carsten Pieper
What a mindblowing record. Everything fits. The album is loaded with so many highlights. The genre is hard to specify. It’s a fusion of finnish folk, jazz, stoner, prog rock and metal. The production value is superb. Every HiFi enthusiast will love this album. And then this eye-catching cover with the sun-yellowed vinyl pressing. Hopefully this record will find it‘s way into the list of the book „1001 albums you must hear before you die“. It is a classic. Rolf's Stuff
WOW! This is a rather new approach. Two i.m.o very good female singers offer precisely intoned melodies(?!) & voicings routed as well as integrated in(to) contemporary operatic/chamber music. But this special kind of very dynamic chamber music here isn't executetd by chamber musicians but by electric (post-)zeuhlprog-power-trio PoiL plus a vibraphone player. Take your time to explore & fathom it. Very rewarding! ROWIAL
